We had an amazing wedding day in Nerja and Ian played a big part in this. He was a fantastic host, singer and DJ. We were recommened Ian as a DJ by our wedding planner, Sonya, so we knew that he would be good...we had no idea just how good. Ian was professional, interactive and has a great sense of humour.

From the start he engaged with the guests and catered for all. He introduced us as the newly married couple and played U2's 'Beautiful Day' as we entered the terrace for the meal, which was one of my favourite moments. Then Ian played music during the meal, some of our own requests, and some of his own choices...and it was like he had a sixth sense as they matched our tastes perfectly. Next Ian sang a few rat pack numbers. He has a great voice and got some of the guests involved... check out our friend Chris Jones doing a rendition of Ian's apt words 'Swan Lake' with a tambourine! The clip doesn't show the finale when he skidded through Ian's ... legs and split his trousers! Hilarious!

Then the party started and the whole place was rocking! Even my 70 year old aunty and uncle danced until the end. Ian handed out more props-guitars, tambourines, etc- which by this time the guests were well on their way to merrydom so fancied themselves as a bit of a rockstar! It truly was the best day ever and we can't thank Ian enough for making it so much fun. Hands down, Ian is the best DJ we've come across...and we've been to a lot of weddings and even more parties! Fab DJ, fab host, fab music, fab guy!

Oh I am so depressed being home, I wish I could do it all again.

Thanks so much for your email, I had such a fantastic day, my feet are still sore from dancing. It is so nice to hear this as I was afraid that there wouldn't be a good atmosphere with a small group of people. I couldn't have been more wrong, everyone had a ball and couldn't compliment you enough.

I will definitely DEFINITELY post a few comments about the night and I will recommend you to anyone I hear of going to Spain to get married. A few of my friends are already considering it.

Again thank you so much for helping my day be so fantastic, I will never forget it.

We are not long back from our honeymoon and are finally getting around to writing a review about our Photographers/Dj etc.

Our wedding was in La Vinuela Nerja and thanks to people like Ian, Jenny our wedding planner (Spanish Wedding Planner) and Alex Olson Photography we had our dream wedding.....

We discovered Ian preston when our wedding planner suggested him for our wedding in Nerja. We decided to do a search and found hundreds of amazing reviews for Ian Preston. We contacted Ian and decided to get the full package which meant he was doing a swing set, host for the evening and dj until the end of the night.

Ian had contacted us and asked us some questions about how we wanted the evening to go. We suggested a couple of things that we wanted which were out of the norm and Ian was very obliging. He asked us what songs we wanted played and was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable.

The day of the wedding was the first time we had met Ian in person and he was extremely friendly and professional. He introduced all the speeches etc and carried out our themed music entrance for the bridal party perfectly. Throughout the evening Ian was engaging with our guests to get an idea of the sort of music they would like to hear later on in the evening.

As the meal was coming to an end Ian started his swing set which was perfect for setting the mood of the evening. He also got some of our guests involved in which was very entertaining and everyone thought it was hilarious. As the night progressed Ian switched into dj mode and had everyone up on the dancefloor straight away. Ive never seen people get up dancing so soon in my life. His dj set was brilliant and he somehow managed to play all the right songs at the right time. Ian was always involving the guests in every part of the night and we all had a great laugh playing the mini guitars Ian had provided.

All of our guests we talking about Ian for days afterward and said he really made the night a night to remember. Ian is a singer, a host, a DJ , an entertainer and much more. We definitely made the right choice when we picked him and if anyone is looking for an entertainer in Spain then Ian is definitely the man for you.

Hi Ian & Jo,

We would just like to say a big thank you to both of you. Ian, from our first meeting with you back in July, we were all very impressed with your attitude and the confidence you instilled in us that you would look after us and do a great job at our wedding. And you certainly did! I also want to thank Jo, who was always very efficient to deal with on email, always clarifying our details and made our booking with you one of the easiest and a pleasure to deal with in the run up to our wedding. When you are trying to organise a wedding people as professional and organised as yourselves make it a lot easier.

On the night, several of our guests commented on how excellent you were and your choice of music. I have been to many weddings and hate to see a dance floor with only a few guests up dancing - it was fantastic to see that there was no chance of that at our wedding! All ages were up dancing all night and genuinely enjoying themselves. Your use of the props went down a treat and the guests are still talking about it! Ian you were helpful, professional and courteous on the night - accommodating all requests and made things so easy for us. It is clear that you enjoy your job.

Well it's back to reality for us now! - the honeymoon was fantastic. We only got back on Sunday. We would like to wish you both all the best in the future and once again thank you for everything - we have many great memories and you were a pleasure to deal with.

Hi Ian and Jo,

Hope you're keeping well. This is my first day back in work after the wedding :-( Back to reality with a bang!!

I have to say we truly had an amazing day and night and we cannot thank you enough for the huge part you played in it all!! My feet were sore for a whole week after it. Im normally the quieter one of my gang but I literally didn't leave the dance floor for the whole night. Every time I went to sit down another brill song came on so I had to keep dancing!!

My guests are raving about you. I would say that every single person asked about you. There's definetly plenty of photos so I'll get my friends to send some on to you. Don't think there's any videos though cos everyone was too busy dancing and having a good time.

From the moment we arrived you looked after us, greeting us at the door, checking if we needed anything, keeping the lads calm and relaxed before their speaches. I especially loved the music playing during the meal. It created a fantastic atmosphere from the very start. And then the party began and what a party it was!!!

All we can say was AMAZING! From the first moment of contact with yourself and Jo we knew we'd made the right decision. On the day you were excellent greeting our guests and making sure everything was going well. Then throughout the meal you were great and the background music perfect. Once we started the dancing things really got going. People were dancing away and couldn't believe it was actually you singing. Great voice! The music was fantastic, the guitars for our dads brill, and all in all you completely surpassed everything we expected. Everyone was talking about you and how good everyting was and the dancefloor was never empty. We can't thank you enough for making it the special night it was. I'm so sorry. I totally have forgotten to email you after our wedding! Well better late than never! We just wanted to thank you so much for everything that you did to make our wedding special! We loved it!

Ian, you where brilliant! You played all the songs that we love & many more. I know our guests where a little mental and have a mixed taste in music from dance/pop & heavy rock, but hey that made it more fun! We loved how you added your own little touches with the guitar & the mike! Thank you so much for including Joe Dolan & The Gipsy Kings as you know they both have memories for both Ciaran & I in regards to parent that have passed away for both of us. You are a brilliant DJ and really we can't thank you enough! You are def the best wedding dj I have every come accross.

I cannot thank you enough for the brilliant show you put on at our wedding. Your complete encouragement and understanding of the gangs mood was incredible. Literally every single guest commented on how good you were and how they never had such craic at a wedding.

My naive american friend (dickie bow) still can't get over it. So much of that is down to you and I thank you. If we can offer you any endorsements or testimonies please do ask - I dont care how often or how many I'd be happy to. Hey Ian,

Sorry its taken this long to email you, just been lolling around the place in a daze and eating & drinking too much and sleeping in late, heaven! How can we ever go back to reality?!!

We had such a great wedding day with the pinnacle of the celebrations being the Dj'ing you did. After reading testimonials on your website we thought you would be good but we had no idea that you would end up being absolutely fantastic as you were. In all the weddings we've attended we have never ever seen a DJ like you, you are truly the master of wedding DJ's!! From the very first song we had a dancefloor to be proud of, how you gauged the crowd and chose the songs at just at the right times I will never know, simply fantastic Ian.

What makes you great is your personality, how you really enjoy what you do, how you go above and beyond to really put on such a good show, you interacted with the crowd and got everyone up on the floor and as for the props like the tambourine, microphone and guitars, simply genius!! The amount of conversation that this has generated is incredible and was the funniest part of the night! Every single person said they have never seen a wedding DJ like you and you should really be given so much credit for your efforts to put on the best party DJ set.

Thank you so much again, we really cannot thank you enough and we wish you every success in the future, I will be sure to be making the strongest recommendations for you on weddings online.

Hi Ian,

We're back from honeymoon and would just like to thank you very much for helping to make our wedding day so special and perfect.

We'd seen some feedback on your site before that seemed so good that it could only be too good to be true. However, we can honestly say that all the praise is totally accurate - and our guests have repeatedly told us how great the entertainment was. From the moment we set foot in the disco, not one minute passed when the dance-floor was empty; people literally danced the night away.Everyone was wrecked the next day!

Your singing throughout some of the dj sets, as well as the fantastic props you brought along plus getting people to sing into the microphone was simply brilliant. The funniest photos we've seen so far are those taken in the disco; everyone completely let their hair down, which was fantastic to see. To anybody wondering if they should book Ian Preston, we would say not to hesitate - he instantly understands what the crowd wants and gauges the mood by playing all the right tunes at the right time. He is also a lovely guy, a great MC and super singer...and we would highly recommend him.

Ian - it would not have been the same without you.

Hi Ian,

Now that the dust has settled and we are settling into married life back home here in Glasgow I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for the great job you did at our wedding.

All of our friends and family are still talking about what a fantastic time they had and your selection of music certainly added to the occasion and kept people on the dance floor all night. We really enjoyed some of the unique moments you helped create such as the guitar playing by Stu and Tracey which always brings a smile to our faces.

On October 5th you hosted a wedding for Charlie Aabo and Sarah Barnes. I'm the guy they made the toastmaster. I understand "hosted" may be an improper term here, but by US standards, I have a hard time calling you a Dj. I can't tell you how many events I've been to where they've had a so-called "Dj" where they easily could have hired a monkey ... who most likely would have done a far better job!

When I speak of you, I describe you as an entertainer because you know exactly how to work a room that ranges the extremes of age and nationality and you know how to make them happy. Better still, you know how to get them out of their seats and onto the dance floor! Most functions I go to, the dance floor looks as vacant as the expression on Paris Hilton's face. Now, whether that's due to a poor selection of music or the fact that it's played so loud people lose their equilibrium and fear falling over should they dare stand up, I don't know, but I'm thinking it's a fair dose of both.

When you were up singing (excellently!) or playing a track, all I could see were smiles and dancing feet. When I was too tired to dance, I found I could hold a conversation without losing my voice ... and we were seated close to you! You even know how to get the hams involved! Though I understand it's a bother when you have to start breaking down the equipment and you have nothing but Dawn of the Drunks stalking you to play "just one more" song, I think it's a testament to how awesome your talents are. I have been to A LOT of functions and I have NEVER seen that happen before. You are nothing short of amazing.

Of course, I can't finish this off without thanking you for making the evening very easy for me, so I thank you. I wish you continued success and every happiness! You're AWESOME!!! Cheers! Rob Román

Sorry it has taken us so long to e-mail you with the honeymoon and everything, but myself and Martin would just like to thank you very very much for all you did on the night of our wedding. It was one of the best nights of our lives. Every single one of our guests thought you were brilliant, especially our little girl Sara, she is still talking about you giving her the mic and letting her sing, and her favourate song is Jake the Peg. As soon as we got home we had to get it on CD, all the kids loved it.
